Broadband coming to Stoutland based phone company
Today(thur) the USDA announced millions of dollars in funding to improve broadband access to unserved or underserved parts of the state. Congresswoman Vicky Hartzler was in Lebanon shortly after the announcement was made. Hartzler has been campaigning to get funding for high-speed internet to rural Missouri for some time….
Earlier today, the USDA announced $91.5-million dollars is being awarded in Missouri….
Missouricom will use the ReConnect grant to deploy a fiber-to-the-premises network, which connects 23-hundred-90 people, 78 farms, and 12 businesses to high-speed broadband internet. Also announced, Total Highspeed LLC which serves parts of Webster County was awarded $24.9 million. The USDA projects that statewide the funding will connect thousands of rural households to high-speed internet.
