Bridge work along Highway 54 at the Niangua Branch of the Lake of the Ozarks Bridge began overnight
Bridge work along Highway 54 at the Niangua Branch of the Lake of the Ozarks Bridge began overnight with narrowed lanes and turning restrictions at two intersections. The Missouri Department of Transportation contracted with Truesdell Corporation Midwest to complete the rehabilitation of several bridges in the Lake of the Ozarks area, which includes applying an epoxy-wearing surface to the Niangua Branch Bridge. Crews plan to maintain one open lane of traffic, in each direction, but traffic will be shifted on Highway 54 nightly, Monday through Thursday, between 7 p.m. and 6 a.m., with a width restriction. While the work zone is active, the following restrictions will also be in place: Traffic from Route D will only be able to turn right onto Highway 54. No left turns from Route D onto Highway 54 will be permitted.
West Lake Park Road will be restricted to right in/right out access. No left turns onto or from Highway 54 will be permitted. During daytime hours and through the weekend, the work zone will be removed, and no turning restrictions will be in place. All work on this portion of the multi-bridge project is expected to be completed the week of June 26th.
