Bowman Sentenced To 64-Years

A Judge in Laclede County has sentenced a Lebanon man to a total of 64-years in prison. 50-year-old Michael Gene Bowman was found guilty in April by a Laclede County Jury of multiple sex crimes including, Forcible sodomy, and First-degree sexual abuse. The sentence came down late Friday afternoon.

The investigation into Bowman began in 2020 after a report of child sexual assault, as stated in the court records. The alleged crimes involved sexual groping and targeted minors, with some incidents dating back to approximately 2017, according to the court documents. The Laclede County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that the victims in question were Bowman’s stepdaughters, as indicated in a probable cause statement. Bowman represented himself during his trial in April.
