Just over 6 years ago the first of 3 Route 66 murals was unveiled at Boswell Park in Lebanon, and since that time 2 others measuring 20 by 10 feet were installed. The Murals are digitally printed tiles that were placed on a brick wall background. Today when you visit the park you may notice that one of the Murals is missing, but it’s not forever. Lebanon Parks Director John Shelton said they believe that water, along with the freeze and thaw may have brought the tiles down.

The hope is that the repairs to the mural and new tiles will go up by the Lebanon Route 66 Festival which takes place in early June. The 3 murals at Boswell Park depict some of the local history of Route 66 in Laclede County.
