A Camdenton man was arrested last week for failing to register as a sex offender. On January 14th, Timmy Ray Whittle was recorded as being a non compliant sex offender. A Camden County Deputy went to a residence on Blue Haven Beach Road, and spoke with Whittle who claimed that he had registered. When the officer told him that he was going to be taken to jail, Whittle took off running. The officer chased him through several back yards and jumped a retaining wall, after which Whittle fell and was taken into custody. He was transported to an area hospital for treatment and then taken to the Camden County Jail. Whittle is charged with failing to register as a sex offender and resisting arrest. His bond was set at $15-thousand-cash or surety.
