(Fort Leonard Wood)–Members of the Fort Leonard Wood community can help save lives by donating at one of two Armed Services Blood Program blood drives.
The first drive is scheduled from 7 a-m to 2 p-m Monday at the General Leonard Wood Army Community Hospital in the Primary Care Conference Room on the first floor, across from the Internal Medicine Clinic. The second drive is set for 9 a-m to 2 p-m Tuesday on Court 1 at the Davidson Fitness Center.
Both drives are open to everyone, military or civilian, 17 years old and older. All donors will receive a free Armed Services Blood Program T-shirt. Potential blood donors must weigh at least 110 pounds, be at least 17 years old and feeling well for the past three days. They must also be well-hydrated and have eaten something before donating.
Individuals and groups, such as Noncommissioned Officer Academy classes or others needing community service credits, are welcome. Call 596-5385 if bringing a group of ten people or more.
