(Crocker)–Blood donations are generally at a lower level during the winter months, even though the demand for blood continues at a constant level.
Community Blood Center of the Ozarks is experiencing a critical need for most blood types There will be a C-B-C-O blood drive on February 19th from 11 a-m to 4:30 p-m at Crocker High School.
To be eligible to give blood, a person must weigh at least 110 pounds, be in good health, and present a valid photo I-D.
During the month of February, donors will receive a blue “Rewind” t-shirt. On average, a transfusion takes place every seven minutes and around 200 donations are needed each day to meet the area’s blood needs.
