Blake Hurst to retire at President of Missouri Farm Bureau

Missouri Farm Bureau president Blake Hurst announced Tuesday morning that he will not seek re-election to another term. The Atchison County farmer informed the organization’s Board of Directors during their monthly meeting. Hurst was first elected Missouri Farm Bureau’s President in 2010, following the retirement of longtime leader Charles Kruse. Previously Hurst served as Vice President and in several other capacities. In addition to the president, he’s currently a member of the American Farm Bureau Federation’s Board of Directors. Missouri Farm Bureau will select its next president at its annual meeting in early December.
