(St. Robert)–The Pulaski County Sheriff’s Department reports that it has received reports of a black bear sighting near the area of Highway 28 and Hasty Drive. The Department advises people to stay clear of the bear and ensure all pets and trash is safely secured. It is imperative that residents remove bear attractants from their property, such as bird feeders, trash, barbeque grills, pet food, and food waste. Keeping areas free of attractants and letting bears find natural foods is in everyone’s best interest. If you see a bear, let the animal be and enjoy the sighting, but be sure to not offer it any food. Pulaski Sheriff’s Department Deputies are working in conjunction with the Missouri Dept of Conservation to investigate this sighting.
