Bill to reduce property tax in Missouri Legislature

A bill considered in the Missouri Legislature pertains to personal property taxes. 121st District State Representative Bill Hardwick said as property taxes continue to grow it places a burden on citizens.

Hardwick said the bill that was passed in the Missouri House extended the depreciation to 15 years..

In addition to cars and trucks, the bill contains language adding farm tractors to the personal property list. If passed by the full assembly the bill would go into effect immediately.
