Missouri’s House Speaker Pro Tem is praising last week’s Bicentennial events in Jefferson City, including the music at Tuesday’s ceremony. Speaker Pro Tem John Wiemann of O’Fallon is impressed with the Missouri Choral Directors Association all-state festival choir:

Last week’s events also included a Bicentennial tree dedication on the Capitol lawn, which featured native oak trees and two plaques: one from Governor Mike Parson and the other from former Governor Arthur Hyde, who was governor in 1921.
