APAC-Central Springfield has been awarded a $1.8-million-dollar contract to perform work on Highway 7 in Benton and Henry County, which will begin on October 4th.
Contractor crews will lay a new asphalt surface, permanent lane markings, and rumble strips along an approximately 11-mile stretch of Route 7 between the Osage River at Warsaw and Henry County Route PP in Tightwad. The crews will also replace guardrails at various locations. Drivers should expect lane closures where crews are laying asphalt, and there will be flaggers and pilot cars in place. Drivers are urged to find alternate routes to avoid the work zone. The project should be complete by November 1st.
