Benton County Kidnapping

An Edwards, Missouri, man is being held in the Benton County Jail in Warsaw on a 1 million dollar bond after authorities say he kidnapped women and held them against their will. Benton County officials say 38-year-old Nathan Hammond will face charges of kidnapping, rape or attempted rape, stalking, assault, and drug offenses.

Investigators say several women claimed Hammond threatened them with death. A search of the property off of State Highway VV found evidence to support the women’s claims. The case remains under investigation, and if anyone has information about the case, they are asked to contact the Benton County Sheriffs’ Office.
