Bauman Case Moves Forward

The Lake of the Ozarks Real Estate Agent accused of conspiracy to commit murder appeared in Camden County Associate Court on Monday, before Associate Circuit Judge Heather Miller for a preliminary hearing.

Leigh Ann Bauman was arrested earlier this month for attempting to hire an assassin to kill her ex-mother-in-law. The hearing was to determine whether probable cause existed to move the case forward.

After hearing several witnesses and an audio recording soliciting an assassin, Judge Miller ruled that the case could move forward to 26th circuit court with the next court date set for April 7th. If convicted of the charge, Bauman could face up to 10 years in prison. She is being held in the Camden County jail without bond.
