Word comes to us from the Missouri Conservation Department of a bald eagle death in Pulaski County. According to the Conservation Department, an adult bald eagle was recently struck and killed by a motorist in Pulaski County as it was landing to feed on a roadkill deer.
Missouri is a popular place for wintering bald eagles. Bald eagles prey on fish, birds, and mammals but also eat roadkill when available.
