Officials in Lake Ozark met with business owners on the Bagnell Dam Strip to determine how to avoid incidents like the deadly shooting that occurred last Thursday.

The meeting included businesses that, among other things, have liquor licenses. They discussed a variety of topics ranging from motorcycle and gang activity to underage serving and fake IDs.

City Administrator Dave Van Dee told about 40 business owners and managers that it was an opportunity to have input and provide solutions. It was announced that Bike night on the strip had been canceled for the remainder of the year. One man was killed and several others injured during a biker brawl on the strip last Thursday night. That incident remains under investigation by authorities.

Lake Ozark Police chief, Gary Launderville, urges cooperation between the city, police department, and business owners.
