“Backyard Chickens 101”

A new program offering from the Pulaski County Extension Office will focus on the topic of raising your own backyard poultry. Interest in raising one’s own chickens is on the rise because of the climbing cost of eggs, but extension office agent Eric Meusch says there’s been a growing interest over the last few years as well. “Backyard Chickens 101” will be held on February 7th at the Pulaski County Courthouse’s community room. The free course will begin at 5:30 PM and run through 8:30. Meusch says that this program came about as a small part of a larger grant.

Those interested in this program, or any other program being offered, may contact the Pulaski County Extension Office at 573-774-4766. They may also contact Meush at 573-729-3196.
