Monday turned out to be quite a day for accidents and slide-offs as a result of a snowfall that amounted to about an inch ranging from the Lake area through Laclede, Pulaski, Texas, Phelps, and eastern and southeastern counties. Interstate 44 had its share of accidents with an accident at the 108 Mile Marker just east of Marshfield backing up traffic at times to nearly 10 miles according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol and MoDOT. The Missouri Highway Patrol worked several snow-related crashes on I-44 east of Marshfield. It’s expected that the cleanup of vehicles in the median will continue through Tuesday.

Drivers should be aware that there is a possibility of snow and ice again Wednesday and Thursday. Stay tuned to KJEL for further weather updates.
