August events in Pulaski County

Several local events are taking place this week in the Fort Leonard Wood area. National Night Out will be observed this evening from 6 to 9 o’clock at the Pulaski County Farmers Market Pavilion in Waynesville. Local vendors, law enforcement members, state conservation agents, area firefighters, local civic groups, churches, businesses, and farmer market vendors are invited to attend this community-building event that promotes police, community partnerships, and neighborhood camaraderie.
Saturday evening from 5 to 7:30 will be the annual Fabulous Fakes dinner and program at Music at the Barn on Highway 28 south of Dixon.
This will be an evening of music through the ages performed by celebrity impersonators who will also serve full suppers. Tickets can be purchased at the door. Proceeds will benefit the Little Prairie Bible Camp in the St. James area. Black Light Bash Bingo will take place between 7 and 10 o’clock Friday evening at VFW Post 3168 on Swindle Drive in the Laquey area. Get your ticket in advance or at the door and play blacklight bingo to benefit the Waynesville-St. Robert Senior Center. Steak dinners will be available for ordering at an additional cost. The 100-mile yard sale is this weekend in Pulaski, Lalcede, and Webster counties with all sales taking place on historic Route 66 that passes through each county.
