Auditor Defends Cost Estimates For Abortion Constitutional Amendment

State Auditor Scott Fitzpatrick continues to defend his office’s cost estimates of a proposed constitutional amendment that could make most abortions legal again in Missouri. Those estimates state local governments could see about 51 thousand dollars annually in lost revenue, while the state would likely see no costs or savings. Two fellow Republicans, both state senators, are suing to change the cost estimates to show legalizing abortions in Missouri could cost the state around 12 BILLION dollars. Fitzpatrick disagrees:
