Assault reported in moving vehicle

Lebanon Police were called to a report of an assault that happened in a moving vehicle on Sunday. According to the victim, she was riding in a vehicle with her boyfriend of 5 days, when he grabbed her by the hair and began hitting her in the face. She said she hit him back, and then begged him to let her out of the vehicle. He reportedly kicked her out of the vehicle on Jefferson Avenue near Davis Street. The woman said that her purse, keys and phone, along with her daughter’s booster seat were still in the vehicle. The suspect reportedly lives in Springfield. The investigation is continuing.
