Assault on WestPark Drive

A Camdenton man is facing charges for the alleged attack of a woman at her home on Westpark Drive, early Saturday morning. According to the Camden County Sheriff’s Office, they responded to the residence after several 9-1-1 hang-up calls. At the residence, Deputies spoke with a woman who said that she had an ongoing relationship with 37-year-old Patrick Wayne Long, but they had an argument a few hours earlier, and he left her in Sunrise Beach without a ride home. The woman said she called a friend to give her a ride and shortly after they got there, Long kicked in the front door, shoved the woman against the wall and began strangling her. He also allegedly punched her about the head and face several times. The victim was transported to an area hospital, and Long was arrested on charges of felony assault and burglary. He is being held without bond.
