A Camdenton man is facing charges after the alleged assault of Camden County Deputy. According to the Camden County Sheriff’s office, Deputies were assisting the Highway Patrol, at an accident on Spencer Creek Road on Wednesday. At the scene a passenger in the wrecked vehicle, identified as 30 year old Cory Blume, became aggressive, and when a deputy attempted to calm him down he hit the deputy in the face. After a brief altercation, Blume was taken into custody. He is charged with assault and resisting arrest. He is currently free on bond. Authorities say that Blume was intoxicated at the time of the incident.
