Assault and armed criminal action filed after incident at park
A Pulaski County man who allegedly threw a knife at his girlfriend was arraigned in court on Monday. According to a report from Dixon Police, the victim walked into the police department, frightened and crying. The victim said that she had been assaulted and Charles Bond had thrown a knife at her while she was at the city park. The victim said she went to the park for a lunch break, and was sitting there when Bond pulled in. She said she was trying to pull out of the parking lot to avoid confrontation, when he threw the open blade knife through the window and hit her. The blade didn’t cut the victim, but she had bruising from the hilt. Charles Bond is charged with Armed Criminal Action and Domestic Assault. His bond was set at $100-thousand-dollars.
