Area Airports get grant money
The Federal Aviation Administration is awarding Missouri more than 152 million dollars to help 75 airports around the state. Alisa Nelson reports.
The Floyd Jones Airport in Lebanon is set to receive around 30 thousand dollars, as is the Camdenton Airport, Fort Leonard Wood is expected to see around 69 Thousand dollars in funding and Springfield – Branson National is set to get 9 million 259 thousand dollars.
The funding is part of a newly-created grant program linked to the recent enactment of a coronavirus stimulus package. The funding aims to support continuing operations and replace lost revenue from the sharp decline in passenger traffic and other airport business due to COVID-19.
