Applications are now being accepted for the 2022-23 Waynesville School of Practical Nursing

Applications are now being accepted for the 2022-23 Waynesville School of Practical Nursing school year. Waynesville School of Practical Nursing program is a full-time, 11-month, adult-only program located in the Waynesville Career Center that begins in August and finishes at the end of June. Once practical nursing students have passed all courses in the program, they will be eligible to take the NCLEX-PN exam and upon passing, will be a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). Program Coordinator for the Practical Nursing Program Audrey Mc Daniel says, “Over the last six years our pass rate has exceeded 90%. Our students also have an excellent job placement rate, allowing them to work as LPNs and continue their education to become an RN and so on, giving them more financial freedom as they are continuing their education.” There are two application deadlines this year. The early application deadline is March 11th, 2022, with an entrance exam score of 58.7% or higher on file. The final application deadline is May 20th. Prospective students are encouraged to apply early so they have plenty of time to study for the entrance exam, and to secure their seat in the upcoming class.
