(Crocker)–When the Pulaski County Health Department releases the latest aggregate total of coronavirus cases this afternoon, the expectation is that we will see another big jump in numbers. Last Monday, there were 75 new Covid-19 cases over the previous week. With back-to-school classes set to start in a week in most area schools, parents are being asked to check their children before being taking them to school or loaded them on buses. The Health Center’s Director of Nursing, Wanda Lairamore, says the ideal thing is to check children’s temperatures before taking them to school or loading them onto buses.

Lairamore emphasizes wearing masks in public, social distancing, washing your hands on a regular basis, and sanitizing services as good ways to fight the coronavirus.
