Another Inmate death at South Central Correctional Center in Licking

The South Central Correctional Center in Licking is reporting the death this morning of a resident there. 75-year-old Steven Pope was pronounced dead at 6:59 this morning. He was serving a life sentence for statutory sodomy from Johnson County and was received in the Department of Corrections on August 11th, 2022.
An autopsy will be conducted to determine the cause of death.
