Another election right around the corner

In 3 weeks filing for candidates seeking to have a place on the April 6th General Municipal Election Ballot, will be underway. Those who plan to run for an elected position in the April Election should plan ahead to make sure they have everything in place before filing on December 15th. Laclede County Clerk Linda Cansler says by planning ahead you can save yourself some time….

All 2020 taxes must be paid prior to filing for candidacy, and all 2021 taxes must be paid before you take office. If you have questions about filing to run for candidacy in the April election contact the County Clerks office. Unlike August and November, April’s election has no party boundaries, only candidates with a desire to serve.
