A group of Lebanon business owners have joined together to try to establish a Community Improvement District. The area involved is around Lexington Square on West Elm, and according to Lebanon REDI Director Brian Thompson, the area included in the district is seeking to implement an additional sales tax.

Thompson said if approved by City Council, the CID will have a Board of Directors, which will guide how the sales tax is spent….

The Community Improvement District Board will be required to report to Lebanon City Council. Council is expected to take up the question of establishing the Elm Street CID at the October 26th meeting. In the City of Lebanon, there are currently 3 Community Improvement Districts.
