42-year-old Daniel Green of Lebanon was charged Tuesday with felony Property Damage in the 1st Degree. A Lebanon police officer was conducting a routine patrol in the 2600 block of W. Elm Street and observed a known person of interest in recent catalytic converter thefts walking in the area with a backpack. Because of the recent thefts near that location, the officer decided to
patrol the area again and at approximately 4:05 AM the officer observed Green, under a vehicle attempting to cut a catalytic converter off and placed him under arrest. Green remains in the Laclede County Jail in lieu of a $5000 cash or surety
bond.
