The annual Newburg Day celebration is taking place this evening and tomorrow in the Phelps County community of Newburg.
Festivities will begin this evening from 5 to 9 o’ clock at the Red Shed with a community fish fry and pork steak dinner. Cost of the dinner of $15 per person or $25 for a couple.
The annual Newburg Day parade will begin Saturday morning at 10 o’ clock with a cruise-in taking place immediately afterward in the Newburg Church of God parking lot. Dash plaques will be given to the first 40 vehicles, motorcycles and tractors attending.
Other Saturday highlights will include food and games, a craft show, bounce house, and live entertainment.
There will be live music at the Gazebo with Mick Byrd and local talent performing from ten o’ clock Saturday morning to 4 o’ clock in the afternoon.
