Lebanon City Council heard budget presentations from staff members on Thursday night, including Fire and Police. Lebanon Fire Chief Sam Schneider said work continues on the new public safety building on Ivey Lane, and it should be in operation during the first quarter of 2022. He said they are also hiring to man the fire station….

 

Updates to the existing fire stations are expected to cost around $250-thousand-dollars. Chief Schneider said the quick attack engine should arrive in 2022. A big-ticket item being requested for the Lebanon Fire Department in a new ladder truck which has a price tag of about $990-thousand.

 

Council agreed to move up the conversation on the purchase of the new ladder truck to reduce the possibility of higher interest rates. The Lebanon Police Chief spoke with Council requesting capital purchases including an Animal Control Truck and a Radar Speed Trailer.
