An arrest has been made in Miller County following a burglary and pursuit. According to the Miller County Sheriff’s office, on Saturday, Deputies were dispatched to a burglary in progress in the Iberia area. The victim located two male suspects stealing from his barn. Upon confronting the suspects, one suspect identified as Carl Howser left the scene on foot. The other suspect identified as Timmy Whittle got into his vehicle, rammed the victim’s vehicle, and fled the scene. While responding to the scene, Deputies passed Whittle in the area of Highway 42 and Route BB. Deputies attempted to stop the vehicle, which Whittle refused to stop and fled. Deputies pursued the vehicle into the St. Anthony area, where Whittle fled into a wooded area and Deputies lost sight of him at that time. On Sunday, citizens in the St. Anthony area located Whittle in a field. Deputies responded and took him into custody. Howser was located by Deputies on Route BB near the scene of the burglary and taken into custody without incident. Whittle was charged with burglary, property damage, and resisting arrest. He is being held in lieu of a $50,000 bond. Howser has been charged with burglary and is being held in lieu of a $25,000 bond. Both are being held at the Miller County Adult Detention Center.
