AmeriCorps VISTA donates face masks to General Leonard Wood Army Community Hospital
(Waynesville)–AmeriCorps VISTA, in partnership with the Waynesville School District, has donated 50 cloth face masks, which were collected by the “Cloth Mask Project,” to the department of pathology at General Leonard Wood Army Community Hospital at Fort Leonard Wood for the use by hospital staff. The Cloth Mask Project is operated by AmeriCorps VISTA in conjunction with local volunteers to help protect the community and slow the spread of COVID-19. Volunteers make the cloth face masks for at-risk groups, low-income families, and GLWACH.
