The American Red Cross is in need of volunteers for national deployment during hurricane and wildfire season. Southern Missouri Red Cross Executive Director Stacy Burks says they are in need of additional volunteers who are willing to serve in shelters….

New volunteers will first participate in virtual training and must be able to deploy for 14 days, working 8 to 12-hour shifts. Volunteers will staff shelters and perform various tasks. There is also a need for volunteers in Disaster Health services for those who have a health care background.
