Ameren Mo FAC Decrease

Ameren Missouri Electric customers will see a decrease in their bill starting on October first. Ameren Missouri made two filings with the Public Service Commission. In the first filing, Ameren Missouri proposed the fuel adjustment charge to reflect changes in its fuel and purchased power costs, net off-system sales revenues and associated transportation experienced during the four month period of February through May 2023. The second filing was Ameren Missouri’s true-up. Fuel adjustment charges are intended to help companies deal with fuel pricing. The FAC tariff requires regular adjustments to reflect changes in prices the company has incurred for fuel and for wholesale power purchased to serve customers.
According to the Public Service Commission, an Ameren Missouri residential customer using 1,000 kilowatt hours of electricity a month, will see a decrease of about $2.17 a month. Ameren Missouri provides electric service to approximately 1.2 million electric customers in Missouri.
