(Republic)–Amazon has announced that it will open its first fulfillment center in one of the fastest-growing towns in southwest Missouri. Governor Mike Parson made the announcement Thursday while briefing Capitol reporters. The governor says the facility will be located in Republic:
Republic, which has about 17-thousand residents, is southwest of Springfield. It’s the second-largest city in Greene County and has good transportation access with I-44, Highway 60, and the future I-244. BNSF Railway also serves that region.
