Alternate Route for Jefferson Avenue on unfunded needs list for MODOT

Each year the Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission lays out a plan which lists transportation projects planned by state and regional planning agencies for the next 5 years. The STIP details maintenance improvements to Missouri’s nearly 34,000 miles of roads. Another piece of business each year is the unfunded needs projects list. That particular list includes projects that are a priority identified by each regions planning commission. Danny Roeger with MoDot tells us that Lebanon has a project at the top of the unfunded needs list…

Roeger said if the money becomes available, the projects on the unfunded needs list will be considered.

Currently there are more than $11-billion dollars in unfunded needs projects identified in the state.
