A 24-year-old Lebanon man is facing multiple charges in connection with the theft of vehicles. The investigation began when Lebanon Police received information that 3 vehicles and 5 keys were stolen from D&L Used Cars. The thieves apparently broke a window to get inside the building. Officers received information about the possible location of the stolen vehicles and later conducted a traffic stop, and recovered one of the stolen vehicles. The driver told the officers that Alexander Clark had told her to get rid of the car. Officers then went to the 300 Block of Read Street, and found Clark hiding under a pile of trash and junk that was in the basement. The officer claims that Clark was struggling with them while they were trying to put him in handcuffs. They also reported that while Clark was being processed they located a syringe with methamphetamine in it.
Clark is charged with stealing, resisting arrest, possession of a controlled substance, and tampering with evidence. Clark’s bond was set at $25-thousand-dollars.
