The Laclede County Government Center remains open for business, although many court cases have been postponed. Over the weekend an employee of the Government Center tested positive for COVID-19, and according to guidelines, the court system must return to what is called Phase Zero of their reopening plan. That means only the most serious cases are being heard in person. To get back to Phase One of the reopening plan, the court system must remain at Phase Zero for two weeks (and have no more positive COVID results in those two weeks) before returning to Phase One of their opening plan. Anyone with questions about a court case can contact the Circuit Clerk’s office at 532-2471, or they can check their case online.
