Albert “Buzz” Baker, 78 of Dunnegan, Missouri, passed away on Sunday, May 12, 2024, at his residence in Dunnegan.
Buzz was born on May 19, 1945, to Athel Van and Doris Irene (Gannaway) Baker.
After graduating from high school, Buzz bravely served his country as a member of the US Army during the Vietnam War. His courage, dedication, and sacrifice exemplified his profound commitment to serving others.
Following his honorable discharge from the military, Buzz embarked on a successful career as the owner and operator of Baker Dozer Services. Through his hard work, determination, and expertise, Buzz built a legacy of integrity and excellence in the construction industry, leaving an indelible mark on the landscape of his community.
Beyond his professional endeavors, Buzz found solace and joy in the simple pleasures of life. An avid outdoorsman, he reveled in the tranquility of nature, spending countless hours fishing, hunting, and exploring the great outdoors.
He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Alfred Baker; brother in-law, Don Banker; and nephew Todd Banker.
Survivors include his children, Kim Cookson, Christa Applebee, and Chad Baker; a sister, Helen Banker; sister-in-law, Pat Baker; and many nieces, nephews and other friends and family.
Services for Buzz will be held 2:00 PM Friday, May 17, 2024, at the Butler Funeral Home in Humansville, MO. Visitation will be held from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM Friday, May 17, 2024, at the Funeral Home. The burial will take place in the Alder Cemetery.
