Absentee Voting underway

Absentee voting is underway for the April 4th General Municipal Election. Laclede County Clerk Linda Cansler says starting today absentee voting equipment is in place at her office….

Earlier this month the County Clerk performed testing of the election equipment and everything was checked out and they are ready to go. In addition to municipal and school board elections, the April Ballot includes a countywide question pertaining to the approval of a 3 percent sales tax to be collected on recreational marijuana sales. Voters in the City of Lebanon will also vote on a 3 percent sales tax on recreational marijuana. No excuse absentee voting will begin March 21st. All voters will be required to have a photo I.D. in order to vote absentee.
