A special waste collection for residential electronics, appliances, and metals will be held on October 2nd from 9 a-m to noon at South Central Stockyards, 221 Highway 42 West in Vienna.
The collection will be for residential items only. No materials will be accepted from businesses. The collection is open to residents from Crawford, Dent, Gasconade, Maries, Phelps, Pulaski, and Washington counties. Stoves, washers, dryers, hot water heaters, and other appliances will be collected free of charge. Free electronics also will include computer components, laptop computers, keyboards, hairdryers, VCR/DVD players, cell phones, or anything that runs on a cord or battery. Fees will be collected on certain items, such as $25 for CRT T-V’s over 27 inches, projection screens and wood console T-V’s, $20 for CRT T-V’s under 26 inches, $15 for flat screen T-V’s, $10 for all computer monitors and refrigerated appliances with Freon.
For those unable to participate in the Vienna collection, mark your calendars for collections on October 9th at the St. Robert Aquatic Center.
