A Pulaski County motorist was involved in a multiple-injury traffic accident in Franklin County Sunday evening. The highway patrol says 76-year-old Charles Andry of Crocker was driving his 2005 Chevrolet Silverado with a towed unit. The right side of Andry’s truck struck two pedestrians standing on the side of a 2022 Tuatara 1000 EFI parked on private property and pushed them to the ground. The truck struck the vehicle and Andry’s towed unit ran over one of the pedestrians. Both pedestrians were injured in the accident. 55-year-old Bryan K. Sammet of Beaufort sustained serious injuries and 50-year-old Steven J. Hellmann received minor injuries. Both men were transported by ambulance to Mercy Hospital in Washington to receive treatment. Andry was not injured.
