A Pulaski County driver escaped with only minor injuries in a Thursday morning collision of two vehicles on Interstate 44 in Laclede County.
The highway patrol says 25-year-old Peyton K. Erb of Waynesville received those injuries when his 2015 Dodge Dart ran off the roadway at the 125.2 eastbound mile marker, returned to the Interstate, and struck a 2017 Chevrolet Van, driven by 24-year-old Nicholas A. Spellman of Springfield. Erb’s car then ran off the roadway again and overturned. Erb was taken by Mercy E-M-S to Mercy Hospital in Springfield to receive treatment. Spellman was not injured in the accident.
