A motorist attempting a U-Turn on Westbound Highway 54 in Miller County collided with another vehicle

A motorist attempting a U-Turn on Westbound Highway 54 in Miller County at Route MM Tuesday evening at 6:10 collided with another vehicle, sending three motorists to the hospital with a range of injuries. According to the highway patrol, a 2000 Pontiac Firebird, driven by 23-year-old Landon M. Mc Kinley of Barnett, attempted the U-Turn. A 2007 Toyota Camry, driven by 32-year-old Cody A. Jones of Eldon, tried to avoid the McKinley Firebird but was struck by the vehicle. This caused the Camry to travel off the left side of the roadway. Landon Mc Kinley received moderate injuries and was taken by ambulance to Lake Regional Hospital in Osage Beach for treatment. The other driver, Cody Jones, also was injured moderately and was taken by ambulance to Lake Regional. A passenger in the Jones vehicle–31-year-old Tiffany M. Fry of Eldon–received minor injuries and also was transported to Lake Regional Hospital for treatment. According to the patrol, McKinley did not have driver’s insurance.
