A man and woman from Benton County, have been arrested and are facing charges in the death of a four-year-old girl who was found dead Sunday morning. The four-year-olds mother and a two-year-old brother were also found severely beaten. Benton County officials were notified at about 1:00 Sunday morning by the child’s father. A spokesman for the Benton County Sheriffs department said the child was reportedly beaten, submerged in a pond, and left to freeze before being taken back into the residence, near Cole Camp. The two that were injured were taken to Bothwell Medical Center in Sedalia. 35-year-old Ethan Mast, and 21-year-old Kourtney Aumen, are now facing multiple felony charges. Benton County Sheriff, Eric Knox said the four-year-old was beaten from head to toe, Mast and Aumen are neighbors of the victims and remain in the Benton County Jail. The investigation is continuing.
