A Jingle Bell Run Friday Evening In Waynesville Will Benefit Foster Families

The City of Waynesville and the Healthy Futures Pulaski County Coalition will present the Jingle Bell Run this evening in Waynesville City Park. Check-in will begin at 5 p-m, and the 5K run begins at 5:30.
Organizers will be accepting donations of gloves, coats, and hats, as well as gently used shoe donations for the Salvaged Soles Project. This will benefit the Fostering Together Closet, a place where foster children and their families can shop for free.

Organizer Melissa Sharp of the Pulaski County Health Center says there will be another, funner run next week.

Cousin Eddy is a character from the “National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation” movie in which his siphons waste out of an old camper while smoking a cigar and emptying it into an underground sewer. Wait for the explosion.

This week’s Jingle Bell Run is free and open to everyone.
