95 Labrador dogs and puppies have been rescued from an unlicensed animal breeder in Phelps County

95 Labrador dogs and puppies have been rescued from an unlicensed animal breeder in Phelps County. According to the Humane Society of Missouri, the organization’s Animal Cruelty Task Force rescued the Labradors early Tuesday morning from Sho-Me Labradors. Sandra Kozlowski, the operator of Sho-Me Labradors, has been cited repeatedly for refusing inspections. During the facility’s last inspection in August of 2023, officials found approximately 20 violations, including large dogs kept in cramped wire crates without proper access to water. The rescue was coordinated alongside the Missouri Department of Agriculture and the Missouri Attorney General’s office.
